Professor Alvin L. Salle, ACSW, LISW, Directory of the Family Preservation Institute in the School of Social Work at New Mexico State University has completed fifteen (15) studies, published over fifty (50) articles and seven (7) books over the past thirty (30) years of professional practice. He is the Co-editor Family Preservation Journal. Professor Sallee has administered over $15 million in grants and contracts. The Family Preservation Institute serves as a national research and training center.
He has served on the national boards of the National Associations of Social workers, Council on Social Work Education, Alliance of Information and Referral Services, and as President of the Baccalaureate Program Directors. He served four years on the national exam committee of the Association of Social Work Boards.
He has consulted in over twenty-five (25) states with more than fifty (50) agencies and universities. As an expert witness he has worked on over thirty (30) legal cases. The cases cover child abuse and neglect, mental health, and adoptions. He has written affidavits, been deposed and given testimony in state and federal courts.
