UNIT SUPERVISOR: ALL VIEWPOINTS

“It’s our world and you are passing through”. Is this the attitude of many senior officers of supervisors, especially those working a specialized unit? A law enforcement supervisor and the officers within a police unit must know, or be willing to learn, how to work together to perform effectively and consistently at a high level. Countless dynamics may impact on the team’s ability to maintain this heightened level of performance, dealing with a variety of personalities, understanding the mission of a specialized unit, working with different levels of expertise and experience between the unit supervisor and team members.

This course will examine the roles of a supervisor and the officers assigned to a police unit. This includes how each level of ranks look at each other and how they navigate the dilemmas presented to supervisors every day. This course is how a supervisor deals with officers in the unit and with their upper echelon. This course is truly for anyone supervising a team at any level and for the officers assigned to a unit.

Course is 3 days (24 hours)
